I made some notes on a few ideas I had about the kinetic typography task.
I wanted to focus on quotes that contained a large number of expressive words. These would be easy to emphasize later on in the production stage. As I found with some research into other creators content: expressive words can be animated more creatively to convey a visual message.
My initial ideas looked at a multitude of different media sources for possible quotes. I looked at film quotes including the work of Quentin Tarantino whose films are dialogue heavy. I do however realise that the effectiveness of the quotes may be compromised If the voice actor cannot
Another avenue I looked at was poems and books. I feel as though I could get a really unique take on these, as well as being able to add music which could be an effective combination. Some poems I looked at include 'If' By Rudyard Kipling and Futility By Wilfred Owen which both touch on interesting themes and could be expressed well with kinetic typography.
My 3rd idea included making a compilation of famous book quotes(EG. HG Wells' Time Machine and The mysterious island by Jules Verne). These would all relate to a certain theme like war or freedom. This might be a more interesting approach to the brief as I could get different voice actors to record each quote and express them with different: Font, Size and coloured text.
